This HBO original film based on Krakauer’s best-selling book was directed by the author and features both his voice and personal accounts in the film. It tells the story of an ill-fated expedition to climb Everest in 1996 that resulted in several deaths. After trying to rob an armored car transporting millions to a bank in Denver, Colorado, the high-jacked vehicle crashes in the Rocky Mountains leaving an injured driver (Stallone) with no other way out than straight up the side of a mountain. The rest of the crew is unable to slow him down and he quickly spirals out of control, trying to save his own life.

Directed by Michael Powelson. Starring Robert Vaughn, Peter Breck, James Mitchum and Ralph Meeker.
